If anyone is familiar with the best place(s) for a demonstration, please alert the group and we can come up with how best to cover our respective areas. As I am in Santa Fe, I know of several places here which would best/legally work for "sign-waving" and public presence-type demonstrations. I would also like to see folks out in public, disseminating flyers and pamphlets - not everyone wants to stand on a public street and wave a sign for hours. :) I get that.

Also, those who have disabilities or cannot be out in the elements - there is much you can do as well, to prepare for this Global March. So everyone can participate. ALL group members can plan this event - as well they should. :)

We currently need:

1. places to meet for planning sessions. As my home is NOT a smoke/pet free environment, it is not conducive to being the best meeting location for those who are chemically/environmentally sensitive.

2. TALENT : Folks who have the ability to design/create/fund signs/banners etc.... Funds are tight for everyone these days, but we will need to have materials.

3. DRIVERS : Folks who can pick-up/drive/chauffeur others to/from meetings and to/from the Global March and meet-ups. I do have a van, so for those who do not mind riding in a vehicle which smells a bit like cigarettes and dogs with an old, disabled, blonde driver at the helm... lol I am glad to shuttle. My driving record is spotless, so fear not.

4. Genuine activists. Folks who know how to DO this - we need you!

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This is NOT a "dating" meet-up. If you happen to meet someone "special" at the March or meetings, then this is really awesome. There will be plenty of time when you are NOT at meet-ups to engage in private activity. Meet-ups for this group are not the place for this.

At Meet-ups in members' homes or other non-public locations: There will be no intoxicated behavior, unwarranted/unwanted advances on other members, illegal conduct, or other dangerous behaviors. Please take this to heart, because it will not be tolerated.

It should be a foregone conclusion that Meet-ups for this group are not intended as a venue for ANY political party to engage in argument, heated discussion, campaigning or other nonsense. Your other interests are best served outside the scope of this group.

All-inclusive: This group includes all persons: All skin colors, ethnic groups, religions, occupations, political affiliations, all nationalities (including immigration status - after all, we are ALL living under the SAME sky, drinking the SAME water...), and ALL physical types and abilities/disabilities.
