Northern Virginia Conservation Trust

NVCT, founded in 1994, is an award winning charity that saves nearby nature by helping local governments and private landowners voluntarily preserve natural areas, trails, streams and parks. NVCT is a non-profit, tax exempt 501 (c) 3 organization preserving natural and historic resources. Contributions are tax deductible.

Presently, we have preserved over 5,370 acres of natural areas and open space in Northern Virginia.

NVCT also hosts Explore + Restore, a series of local outdoor educational and volunteer opportunities that we organize and/or co-sponsored with other organizations. These events are designed for people who want to learn more about ecology and help with environmental restoration in Northern Virginia, and are great opportunities for kids to get involved with saving nearby nature!

"Celeste - You won't have to worry about off-street parking for this event. The nature center is attached to a school of Sanger Ave., and there is a large parking lot - and parking right in front of the nature center itself...."
