The Proposed Lighted Churches Photoshoot

I mentioned at the meeting Camera Club Tuesday, Debi is still considering doing a field trip to the Lighted Churches. These are small, not particularly spectacular country church buildings. There are a total of six scattered between Brenham and Independence. We made a trip a month or so ago during the daytime to locate the churches and although we could make some observations, we did not see the churches lit as they would be at night. Alcy and I drove back up Sunday afternoon and photographed three of the churches.

There are some logistic problems if we are to be at the churches during the golden hour, at sunset, and during the blue hour. That is probably going to limit the shoot to only one or two of the churches at most. Deciding which ones was the purpose of the trip Sunday. I think that St John Lutheran in Prairie Hill and St Matthew Lutheran in Sandy Hill offer the best opportunities. Since we will be doing the shoot after Thanksgiving there might also be additional Christmas lighting.

I have posted night shots of these three to my blog along with some personal comments. Please, if you are interested, go to the blog, take a look and see if you think this is a trip that you would be interested in doing. If we have enough interest we will sit up a Saturday night shoot. Might even do one night during the week for those that cannot do Saturday. Here is the link. You may have to scroll down because sometimes I post several threads at the same time. Please adjust your RSVP on the Meet Up site appropriately. Thank you.

Here is the link to the blog. You may have to scroll down to find the churches:
