Please note: Update!!!  Due to the wind we will be meeting at Dorset Gardens ( first cat park on left) in Croydon to do a shorter walk and then go to a cafe along main street Croydon.  I'm hoping everyone gets this update, so please let me know you have seen this via the comment section or sms me on[masked]

Today we'll be exploring the Blue Tongue Bend walk.  Though I haven't done this one before, it is signposted and already mapped out on a couple of sites.  It depends on whether we retrace our steps or whether we take the circuit walk as to the length of time this walk will take.  One site rates it as intermediate and a 43min walk, but the sign at the venue says 2hr circuit, so we shall determine length when all walkers arrive.  If a 2hr walk is not what the majority want, we will basically walk for 45 mins roughly and then retrace our steps.  From walkingmaps.com.au - "The dirt track itself is easy to follow and has a few steep sections. It can be a little muddy and slippery if walking after recent rains or in otherwise damp conditions so make sure you have appropriate footwear."

A mystery walk, somewhere in the Maroondah/Yarra Valley.  These walks will be a little different, and they will also be posted on the  Mount Evelyn Walking and Adventure Group (MWAG) site, so we may have members from both groups attending.

The walk venue will be confirmed a day or so before the day of the walk.  These walks will be approximately 1hr, easy to moderate terrain. Walkers will set the pace, but bear in mind, I'm not aiming for these to be workout walks, but they won't be strolls either.  Some will be places we have been before, some totally new.  I'm open to suggestions from those interested in coming along.

Please make sure you have good footwear, preferably hiking boots, or runners with decent grip, as the paths we travel on will vary greatly, from concrete paving, gravel tracks, dirt tracks, and board walks. The aim of these walks is to explore the local bushland pockets, and the Parks and reserves around the Maroondah and Yarra Valley.

Meeting at 10am at the venue. We can carpool if it helps, so make sure you let me know prior to the day if you would like a lift. ( I can take 3 passengers)

We will find somewhere for a cuppa after the walk within the local area.

Please RSVP if you want to join me.  Contact me if needed on[masked]
