This class will be held in Folsom near the Palladio 16 Cinemas. You will learn how to take better portraits of your friends and family. There will be a model present to assist with the days' lesson. This class will be three hours long.

It is a great class for those that have not had the opportunity to study and learn how to take a great portraits. I will teach many of the techniques I have learned over the years about how to take a great portrait of just about anyone. Whether you are a beginner or advanced user this class will provide with the knowledge you will need to a great portrait. I will be available to answer questions after the class.

Note: The models have asked that you provide them with copies of the images from the shoot. You may do so by placing your images on this Meetup site after the shoot. I will set up a page wherein you can upload your images to this days event. I have decided not to work with professional models in an effort to provide you with the skills you will need to work with your friends and family when taking a portrait.

In my opinion the non-professional provides the greatest challenge and the opportunity to learn the most hence, the title of the class "How to take better portraits". However, the model I will bring to the event will have worked with me and you find that although he or she is not a professional, the quality of their preparation and posing skills will enable you to produce some really great shots.

Requirements: Camera, additional camera battery, two flash cards (at least 4 GIG per card), and dress for the weather. The cost of the class is $40.00 to be paid by PayPal, exact cash or check.
