Free Evening Concert - Morfeo Piano Trio

Here's an evening event for those of you who can't attend the lunchtime concerts that's guaranteed to dispel the monday night blues.

Trio Morfeo: Shlomy Dobrinsky (violin) Brian O'Kane (cello) Mei Yi Foo (piano) perform ~

Mozart: Piano Trio in G major K564
Brahms: Piano Trio No. 1 in B major (revised edition, and one of the loveliest piano trios ever written IMHO)

This is a seriously talented trio: Shlomy obtained his Masters at the Guildhall School, won several international competitions and is a permanent first violin member at the Philharmonia Orchestra. Hailed “a pianist to watch” by BBC Radio 3, “Rising Star” by International Piano Magazine, and the winner of the Maria Callas Grand Prix 2008, Mei Yi was guided by Yonty Solomon and Christopher Elton at the Royal College and the Royal Academy of Music. Irish cellist Brian O’Kane recently came to prominence by taking first prize at the Windsor Festival International String Competition. Having graduated from the Royal Academy, he is currently a Junior Fellow at the Guildhall.

The concert (free entry & refreshments, retiring collection) will finish around 9pm, after which I'll accompany any interested meetup members to this nearby open air Italian restaurant for supper: https://www.portobello...
