July Meal at the Balti House

Indian and Japanese were the leaders in the poll with the Batli House just ahead of Wagamama.  Saturday 23 and 30 were top choices for day - have gone with 30 as closer to month end and not so close to drinks evening.

The site vegan Nottingham describes the Balti House as

"Well-regarded Indian restaurant with separate veggie menu and lots of vegan options"

Some Polynesian, not belly, dancing + boys too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...
From Rapa Nui (Easter Island) - where the aubergines, aka aborigines, grew crops and grazed livestock after they cut down the trees to make their settlements, but were nearly wiped out by a slave rade, smallpox infection & the Chillean govt renting the island out to a Scottish farmer, whose sheep killed the native flora. Then the world blamed them for cutting down the trees. Enjoy! They were great live.

OK, TBH the rice was underdone and there wasn't enough of it and some of the potato tasted off. Curry (Madras) was nicely energising tho, and surprisingly allowed me to feel cooler rather than hotter (unlike poor Bob) in the scorching heat of the evening/room, as well as more awake. Service was pretty good.

It was a great evening and I really enjoyed peoples' company. My meal was delicious up to the point where a sneaky chilli blew my head off!
