Enjoy tennis with a great variety of players in the great outdoors!  This group is an excellent way to broaden your skills, meet people, and find similar players: We typically juggle courts and player allocations about every 30 minutes or so.

SUMMARY: You can arrive at the start time or any time after that (if arriving later, please post on that Meetup's discussion page below the Meetup info if possible to let us know so we can set up courts).    Find the current organizer(s) to get assigned to a court.   Feel free to invite your friends (using RSVPs)!   PLEASE bring some extra balls and lots of hydration.  In the event of possible rain, please watch the message board and your email that day for updates from me or one of the organizers.   In rare cases we may not have courts for everyone but due to the player limits we set (18) it's unlikely.  Please be reasonable and let's play some fun tennis!

SKILL LEVEL:  Since it's very difficult to match up players we're asking that only intermediate and higher-level players attend (USTA 3.00-4.50 if you're rated).  This means you have familiarity with scoring and rules, reasonable serving, and ability to keep the ball in play with some consistency against similar players.  We greatly appreciate those that are trying to learn the game (we've all been there) but it's been too hard to line up courts in those cases.

RSVP: If you think you're going, please RSVP and if you change your mind after an RSVP please be fair to other members and change it online *if possible*; it helps us figure out the balance of players and skill levels.  If you're just getting there later you can still come but let us know if you can.  Also, if our courts are full, we'll need to allocate those that RSVPed first.   I'm asking for  a voluntary contribution at the courts of $1 or more until I cover the cost of the group for the last year+.

COURT ALLOCATION: We try to pair up players with similar skill-sets then rotate groups about every half hour or so, though this is based on the people that show up.   It's mostly been doubles but we can do singles as well.  Please be flexible and understand that we want people to play with those roughly their own skill level (intermediate+).  It's important that all players understand and work with these guidelines (also see above for "skill level").  We will do our best to please everyone and have fun!

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
