Orlando Area Christian Singles Message Board › STUCK TOUR in Orlando tomorrow, March 6, only! Don't miss this important event!
Orange City, FL
Have you heard of the STUCK tour? STUCK is a film/documentary about the current status of the world's orphans and the policies and attitudes set forth by governments (US and abroad) that make international adoption a difficult and often impossible process. This film is much more than a documentary: it is a love story following three families as they journey into the world of international adoption. Both Ends Burning, the organization that has created STUCK, is going on a 60-cities-in-80-days tour to inform people about the current crisis in international adoption.
ORLANDO'S DATE IS TOMORROW NIGHT: MARCH 6 at the Premier Fashion Square 14 theatre in the Fashion Square Mall. Pre-event activities (separate ticket required) will be held at the Eastside Bistro in the mall, starting at 5 p.m., and will feature special music, presenters, food, a free photography session and more! We hope you can make it out to learn about this very important issue!

More information from the STUCK Tour site:
Our most powerful tool is the feature length documentary film, STUCK. The purpose of the film is to help the average person understand the issues and create a movement that will ultimately put pressure on U.S. officials to force a more supportive attitude toward International Adoption.
The film will premiere in sequence as we roll across the country on the tour bus, visiting 60 cities in 80 days. While the highlight of each city visit will be the premiere of the film, our goal is to make the visit to each city much more than a film premiere, but an all day event, with media appearances, speeches and discussions in multiple gatherings. The framework for the tour gives us the possibility to make STUCK a phenomenon. Photojournalist Jessica Rose is following the tour and documenting her impressions. Follow the STUCK Tour on Jessica’s blog for an interesting perspective!
One objective while we are on the road is to gather over 1 million petition signatures asking congress/global leaders/President Obama to take specific actions to change the landscape of adoption. The petition will be hand carried to members of Congress in the Step Forward for Orphans March in Washington, D.C., which will coincide, with the last day of the bus tour, tentatively scheduled for May 17.
Your active involvement as a member of the tour team will support the most impactful and activity the adoption community has ever engaged in. Your efforts to support the tour will have a leveraged influence, driving an increase in adoption and changing the lives of countless kids for many years to come.
CELEBRATION OF FAMILY PARTY
We invite you to attend the Celebration of Family festivities, a joy-filled opportunity to honor families and the difference they make in children’s lives and in our future as a society prior to the premiere of STUCK, a prize-winning documentary on international adoption. Families of all sorts are welcome, regardless how they were formed – families with birth children, adopted children, awaiting children – to take part in light refreshments and a time together as a community. Admission includes light refreshments, drinks and a free family portrait by photojournalist Jessica Rose.
We hope you will join our team to create a unique and engaging event in your city that will grow the movement that will provoke real change.
