These Sufi Dances of Inner Peace ,
inspired by the Sufi tradition,
could be compared with the renowned "Dances of Universal Peace",
for they are done in a somewhat similar manner.
However, you may discover that there is a distinct, if subtle difference.
For our Dances are focused not so much on learning indigenous dances,
but on relaxing deep into the Essence of the Divine Universal'Heartspace'.
There , we come to realize the rare Gift of this practice that we call 'Sufi Dancing'... as the Light of the Divine within us, shines forth
and is reflected in the eyes of each one that we meet in ourSufi Circle.
And that Light can indeed be seen in the eyes of each partner that we meet,
as we go beyond appearances ... beyond judgments ... beyond agendas ...
and surrender into the quiet Joy of the very simple songs,
and the easy movements that we employ in the dance.
But maybe you are not too sure
that you will want to actually join the dance,
though you might be inclined to come,
just to be an observer, your first time there.
That is certainly not unusual .. in fact , it could be highly recommended ..
And what most folks find , is that their apprehensions are quickly dissolved
as they see that it is a very safe, easily learned, simple expression of devotion, leading to the Bliss of union with 'The One Light' ...
that Light at the center of our very own Heart.
Still ... your comfort is our prime goal ...
and if you choose to just observe the whole evening .. that can be perfect.
For the gift to your Soul is there .. just being in the divine energy
that is created in the room by the sacred songs and poetic movements
of the people in the circle, as we Dance.
