Startups are wonderful and unique creatures. The teams that create them are usually driven by the need to solve an issue that has been ignored until now. I love to take a problem and turn it into an opportunity. I've always had a unique gift for finding niches that need to be filled, and with a diverse background in design, research, and communication, my skill set seems to be well suited to working in the startup environment. I love the passion that drives most startup ventures, and although I can dig my heels in on an issue when I need to, for the most part I check my ego at the door and work well in a team environment.
I have a couple of problems that I'm working to solve at present, one which relates to fires and one that has to do with gluten-free foods.
Start-up life is always challenging. Finding the right team members is always a critical factor. Not everyone is cut out to work in a start-up. There has to be a passion there, a flexible skill set, a respect for the value added by others, and the ability to keep an open communication pipeline with your team members. If all those things are there, the team will thrive, if they aren't, then life gets more challenging.
Hi. I'm Cyn, a serial entrepreneur here in Orange County. My 1st start-up was in college and I was hooked. Inventor (patent holder), graphic designer, illustrator, and writer, I'm the communicator and creative linchpin that has a different viewpoint.
