Why are you working for/with tech startups?

I like the challenges, breadth of responsibility, and pace.

What problem are you trying to solve?

Most of them.

Describe startup life.

It's a delicate dance between passion and peril.

Introduction

Serial Entrepreneur addicted to startups. I'm usually the technology guy. I've been an early participant in many dotcoms, founded two consultant companies, and Petstore.com. I'm always looking for my next challenge.

What Bryan D. is saying about this Meetup Group

This group holds much promise. I completely expected it to be a forum for sharing ideas, experiences, and networking and it's a huge bonus that Shervin has a parallel longer range goal of fostering a vibrant OC StartUp environment/community. However I completely agree with John Ware that without a little more momentum this group could stumble and fade. With one meeting a month or less it will take years to adequately address a single lap of potential topics and there is no way significant Start Up environment progress can be made. I'd suggest weekly meetings with a loose format allowing for introductions, one announced topic, one or two prearranged entrepreneur presented pitches/q&a/critique, and time for networking. Perhaps the first meeting every month we could review the goals, progress, and projects for establishing a local Start Up supportive environment. Kudos to Shervin, the Vonata team, and all who attended the first meeting for getting us off to an excellent start.
