        3. MI92W4: Venue: Chapman University, Orange, CA; members can see the exact room #.

        5. MHQNYD: Already 15 RSVP YESes (with possible overlap) as Cross-posted in at least 2 locations:

          2. MI8G3S: OCAndroid (this listing): 1 RSVPed YES
            1. MI0TEE: This re-listing uniquely features the full posted history of this event series, along with attendance and repeat-frequency estimates and links to all cross-postings known, plus key synopsis & reviews.

        6. MI8GG3: Full agenda, in order:
          1. MI9YS3: Presently the most complete agenda
          2. MI9YYN: in order:
            1. MI8GJ7: 1000- "Lecture 1..: Creating your first Web API, using Ruby on Rails"
            2. MI93GZ: 1130- "Lab 1..: Setting up your Dev environment and make said Web API"

              1. MI9YP4: "Lunch is provided at the event." emails Miles
            4. MI8GJP: 1430- "Lecture 2..: Creating your first Android App, which uses the created Web AP" aka Lecture on the basics of making an Android application for those with some programming  experience but new to Android.
              1. MI9YMC: "how to write a simple Android app which communicates with an API.. (hit a URL, get JSON, use object to display Image, User data, blah blah)" emails Miles
              2. MI9Y8L: "Can be a Phonegap lecture as well" says Miles.
              3. MI8IQT: goal: to give users a taste of Android and promo OCAndroid
              4. MI8GK5: We need a speaker; volunteer or nominate-someone by an event comment here
            5. MI8GLW: 1600- "Lab 2..: Setting up your Dev environment and making it all work." aka a lab where attendees can try out what they have learned from the lecture.
            6. MI8I77: 1700- "Wrap up and Mingle"
            7. MI8I7V: 1800- end
          3. MI9YQL: Gives the big picture in full detail of everything happening.
            1. MI9Z1V: subsets can be extracted from this for others, but planners & presenters need 1 place to turn for the full details.
            2. MI9YTW: Details should be put here 1st else collected from various discussions.
            3. MI9YUD: Created by Destiny since there was no complete one, by combining all of Miles writings (both from the first listing & emails)
        7. MHQNSP:For what you need to bring & other key info, read
          THE FIRST & MOST-OFFICIAL LISTING
          1. MHTKT6: Unlike most other event re-listings, event info, including stuff all attendees need to know, is minimally copied and/or repeated here, so mostly NOT here as instead here is link to the official source (and, for those not granted access to that, a link to a recent full copy of it) --all intentionally, to(1st) insure all readers of this re-listing get the latest, official unabridged, complete news direct from the main people & group hosting this event (relistings that copy and/or repeat then have the problems of the telephone game) plus know who the source is, and (2nd) minimize the work to create the re-listing and especially to keep it matching the source & complete.
      • MI9XLB: #2 predicted ~2013.08.25(Sat#4,~6mo later)1000-1800, http://meetu.ps/wVRdg
        .
    4. LG4OWH: What are these codes as “LG4OWH:” on this point? They’re short IDs to date-stamp, uniquely-reference, & portably-track most any point or item.
    5. MDMN8M: Listing History, in order
      1. MI9WDB: All entries & actions here by I Destiny unless noted.
      2. MI9WDP:Miles creates main event listing on Google Plus
        1. MI9418: Made versioned archive for 1st event post
      3. MI9WFH: "Fri, Feb 8, 2013 at 6:06 PM" Miles emails Destiny & Bill "you are my only hope" about being & getting Android speakers "We need one of you guys to do a lecture on how to write a simple Android app which communicates with an API."
        1. "Sat, Feb 9, 2013 at 1:27 AM" Destiny replies saying "MHY46V: Clever idea & nice work!" and "MHY47M: Note like most all writings, this really should be handled via posting, not email, per rulehttp://1.JotHere.com/3975#MHEYMV;so let's get it into posting(s) ASAP:" and telling how to create an event post on OCAndroid.
        2. MI9WHV: "Wed, Feb 13, 2013 at 8:58 PM" Miles creates this event listing 104555222.
      4. MI74VM: create a versioned archive of this an archive of this listing 104555222
      5. MI8ESX: now format this post by on http://meetup.com/OC-Polyamory/events/98658112#MHQN3O version MI5BLR doing a manual copy of the description HTML code then editing to fit, merging in the existing text.
      6. MI8I2R: cut Miles's text "If you are interested, please email me right away." and "Call me" and "send me an email if you have questions." and his private contacts (cell & email address) as all this violates our policy to foremost communicate via post and especially not post private contacts - read that & the containing sections so to avoid this again (2nd time I'm pointing this policy out to you), especially important to know with being an organizer.
      7. MI8H1G: renamed & retropiced from "Android Bootcamp" to "StartupWeekend.Org Bootcamp"
      8. MI8H0E: Rewrote description into a logical structure including events it this series & the agenda for this event.
      9. MI8GZY:Changed venue name from "1 University Dr,Orange,Ca" to the actual name "Chapman University"; added "Beckman Hall 106" from the main listing.
      10. MI8HQE: I've added the end-time: 6:00pm (from ur main link)
      11. MI9X5L: Repeat frequency
        1. MI9X6R: Meetup.com bug: won't allow me to set one here perhaps because this event isn't announced or because it was created by SUGGEST an event.
        2. MI9X82: Not specified in sources; Miles, what is it estimated to be?
        3. MIA41O: Set to 4th Sunday every 6mo.
      12. MI9XQ0: Short-URL: put "http://meetu.ps/2FwPlFR-does not work, prob since not announced"; this seems another Meetup.com bug with events created via SUGGEST.
        1. MIA4GE: replacementlisting 104783232 now produces http://meetu.ps/2FwTZhx which also fails
          1. MIAEYR: --oops, from my conversion error; should be http://meetu.ps/wTZhx which works
      13. MI8INF: Rid Miles' constructions "join your meetup group and attend your future meetups" as Miles is also a member indeed here an upcoming group leader, so it should be "our meetup group" or just "OCAndroid".
      14. MI93BC: merged in agenda from main listing with that taking priority esp as far as time of events.
      15. MI94J9: Linked the title's keywoards; small research into event background including adding note.
      16. MI9Y5I: Merge in Miles text from his emails.
      17. MIA0ZN: "2/15/13" SMS Miles "Me:I'll be giving u a revised listing4 ur Startup event later today, taking me ~6hrs work; in meantime, pls read&internalize "via-posting" http://1.JotHere.com/3975#MHEYMV +,as time, the other stuff on that pg,most all key 4u esp as an upcoming leader (esp. since on ur listing u again encouraged emailing&calling).11:15 AM"
      18. MI9XVL:Due to the last 2 Meetup.com bugs, copy this SUGGESTed event post to an actual post?
        1. MI9Y2H:Yes, before handing it back to Miles.
        2. MIA3YC:now, per MI9Y2H, createthis listing 104783232viaprior one->copy.
        3. MIA4P8: create versioned archive for this listing 104783232
      19. MIAAPQ: added "MIA9WE" & "MIAAEZ: Who's organizing?" & "MIAAST" & subs; add Miles as an attendee; small improvements; pst2013.02.15Fri1644.
      20. MIAHJK: set title to(StartupWeekend.Org Bootcamp of US.CA.Orange_County #1) including state, country, and series #; fixed "GDC" typo in MIAA9U; in MDMN8M, added missing-sizing <ol style="font-size: small;">.
      21. ML81DT: got pisser new Meetup error q(Sorry, there is a limit of six questions per Meetup.) and unfortunately one person (Greg Stringer) had answered ~all 8 Qs, so archived answers to ML81GG(_HTML_Chrome).htm and for now cut the last 2 Qs; pst2013.04.13Sat1837.

Thanks to OCAndroid member Miles Pickens http://OCAndroid/members/379217... for taking the initiative to start founding & organizing this event including for posting the 1st draft on OCAndroid! Provided Miles cooperates with us OCAndroid leaders, via interactively posting here per Meetup groups' std for posting http://1.JotHere.com/3975#MHEYM... , so to (1) schedule this so it won't conflict with our already-scheduled events (as our annual 2013.02.22-24 SCALE11x http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/eve... ) & allow adequate prep time for this (see & reply-in WHEN http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/eve... ) and (2) work out with us the other details to work out mentioned here on this page (such as point MI94AX: making this official w/ http://StartupWeekend.Org to use thier name), OCAndroid will be quite delighted to help secure him speakers for this+advertise this to our 100s of mbrs, mostly local Andorid developers, many of whom would then be quite interested.

Bill Zwicky http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/mem... ATTENDANCE&REVIEW OF THIS EVENT.
*As he is OCAndroid leader #2, I just added him to the RSVP YES list so he would be informed of the discussion (since he hadn't followed up on doing this himself per my request & Martin's inquiry on it), as, even he never actually attends (though it would seem it would well match him), so he will be informed of the event planning discussion here, especially as a member (leader Martin) has already started contacting him on this (see http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/eve... ) apparently per his group title.
    *Bill, please
**catch up by skimming the description & discussion here, especially the most recent, and
**Reply to this thread with your actual likeness of attending.

Looks interesting. Details are a little thin on the website, but it should be a fun event.

Destiny http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/mem... ATTENDANCE&REVIEW OF THIS EVENT.
*~"2/15/13" I mostly created this re-listing, which is actually now much more complete than Miles original source.
*I'll attend esp being an organizer of this.

      *Yes, specifically because:
**The sponsoring group GDC OC's posts https://plus.google.co... make no further mention of this event series other than (the 1st scheduling "Sun, Feb 24, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM" https://plus.google.co... ) being canceled "but it will most likely be postponed by 6-8 weeks"
**It's now 6 weeks but I and seemingly no one here is has heard, for several weeks, from Miles Pickens (the GDC OC Organizer & the event-originator), including he's not replying to these, comments on this here event listing
      *So this listing I
**postponed from 2013.04.14(Sun#2,tomorrow) to ~2 months later specifically 2014.06.09(Sun#2)
**stopped its repeating on our calendar
**deleted all upcoming active repeats (only http://meetup.com/OCA... )
*Miles, we await your Reply comments here especially as your plans for his ever actually happening.

I just noticed Michael M. wrote here in cmt http://meetup.com/OCA... wrote "if not i'll remove my rsvp." -no:
*IF YOU MIGHT WANT TO ATTEND THIS (OR ANY MEETUP EVENT), RSVP YES --YES, EVEN IF THE DETAILS HAVE NOT BEEN NAILED DOWN OR IF IT'S NOT CERTAIN IT WILL EVEN HAPPEN. This will insure you get notified of updates. And no worry about being a NO-SHOW as if properly managed the event (w/ all RSVPs) will just get postponed until it happens or until it's canceled.

Note Meetup event comments are now threaded 2 levels, It's is very useful and important to use this feature esp given it's not just organizers reading this but all perspective attendees, indeed the description+comments is whats advertised to the world. So:
*when u want to reply to cmt, click "Reply" on it&DON'T add another top-level cmt.
*If the topic is new, consider creating the topic name as cmt, then reply to that.
*esp important that common organizer-mostly topics as When-discussion fall under a thread for that so the avg possible-attendee can skip.
*Stay on the thread's topic, avoid repeating, & word carefully
*Posts CAN'T be moved once posted;so shoot to post it right the 1st time else carefully&quickly repost correctly then delete ur original posts, insuring not to loose any content.
*To get my cmts all neat & right, I often use an offline text editor to compose my collection of comments to post then post the bunch of them at once.

    February 15

    • DestinyArchitect

To all,my above dirs say "..*Posts CAN'T be moved once posted;so shoot to post it right the 1st time else carefully&QUICKLY repost correctly THEN delete ur original posts, insuring NOT TO LOOSE ANY CONTENT. .."(caps added) -tho I was worried of giving "delete"option 4fear of abuse,&indeed:
*A user(who it is is NOT important) posted Meetup event cmts which were all good pts but simply in the wrong places, why then I wrote this
*but seeing my dirs indeed b4 anyone else had,s/he DIDNT repost, just deleted all her/his originals(tho promises2repost,but the next day still hadnt)
**that is effectively abusing rather than following my dirs(the new words in caps)
**so instead makes things worse,as now that content lost, indeed all of it,incl key very relevant responses which determined my next move
**&s/he's well trained&skilled in IT,so sadly it all makes me doubt if users sd ever be encouraged&allowed to delete their content -I hear http://SlashDot.Org notably doesn't allow it.

      February 16

    • DestinyArchitect

+since it comes up, I now add to my (thread top comment) dirs:
*Whenever the original posts were seen else there was reasonable chance they were, then the original content must be quoted in the repost(s) unaltered including date&time it was originally said, though one can after add ADDITIONAL commentary say to correct & clarify the original, but by this point (after it reasonably could have been seen or was) not allowed is not showing all of what was originally said & when.
