Build your First Mobile App in Half a Day: Morning

MQHBLK: (View of the Austin Training

MQHLC3: -says that, this is “A free half-day training course to learn everything you need to know to build your first mobile app with HTML5, PhoneGap, jQuery & Usergrid!”

MQHBNY: And, btw, this is Day 2(Thu) of 2 of -apparently where our leader Martin heard of this.

LG4OWH: What are these codes as “LG4OWH” on this paragraph? They're short IDs to date-stamp, uniquely-reference, and portably-track content.

____________________________________________________ MQHBQV: Event listing history in order (mostly for just event hosts)(

MQHBR6: Martin found and suggested and drafted the 1st draft of this event, and it's very relevant and sounds quite good, though terribly really late (just the evening before), apparently creating it by copying the description & pics from or maybe (but without any quotes and clearly-explaining where the text came from(!)) plus prependeding point MQHBNY, apparently finishing around 2013.07.24Wed2019 when he SMSed  Destiny "Have you seen drafts. They are long".

MQHLYI: at 2013.07.24Thu0010, Martin email-announced this to our  group, and prematurely (though seemingly-accidentally and this time no harm) but still much discussion on that: see starting 1:47 AM SMS here

MQHC52: I Destiny fully rewrote this listing (

MQHC7P: archiving each version in the expected place 131274662

MQHCG4: Since audacious Meetup pulverized their HTML editor into an infant (

MQHC8W: used an external editor (MS Expression Web), saving to file MQHCDL(_description_draft).htm for drafts

MQHCIC: Used Firefox to copy & paste the text in WYSIWYG since HTML export & import had audaciously been disabled.

MQHDEC: But even via external paste in of WYSIWYG HTML, Meetup's new editor stripped out all fancy HTML formatting except for just the p-tag (plus a, b, i, & img tags) -WTF!  So I restructured included developed hybrid-nesting for that very limited structure.

MQHEIA: the formatting is now so disgustingly limited, the ironic good thing (though I'm still not saying it's overall good!) is that an external HTML editor seems "unnecessary" (as any work of it is fully stripped away!)

MQHD91: Replaced vague "THIS IS A CROSS-POST FROM LA PHONEGAPP" with specific operation & URL now in MQHBNY.

MQHEE8: clarified & strengthen MQHBO6 (was just "Please REGISTER HERE")

MQHC6T: cut all the copied text (copies, especially this long, look pretty at first but very quickly just create confusion for seemingly everyone, not knowing which is the latest& most complete version etc etc, plus a maintenance nightmare, especially when they're unquoted and not clear where they came from and what if anything has been changed; moreover one risks copyright infingment, esp with a lot of text copied; instead just point to the original URL -this is the WEB after-all -little true need to copy if it's well posted (indeed better posted) at the source)

MQHCLC: cut all but the first & last pics, and placing them most first & last in the main (for everyone) description.

MQHEP4: I Destiny did formatting improvements (what little is now possible!); plus added our standard 6 private Qs; pst2013.07.25Thu0051.

MQHGDL: I Destiny say this should be ready for email-announcement; Martin, immediately proofread this, noting that I've worked hard to minimize all duplication, and making only minor corrections to this (though especially adding-to/clarifying your creation history MQHBR6 which currently are just my guesses), then email out to our group, else I'll have to email out, but prefer you do it especially as it's mostly coming from you; pst2013.07.25Thu0122.

MQHLE2: I Destiny say as further followup to 2:11am SMS here, I add MQHLC3; also move MQHBNY down (to right after that) as it's least essential to know of all of this; pst2013.07.25Thu0308

THIS EVENT LISTING --put all on that here in this thread.
*See & keep & follow listing creation & maintenance notes in the listing history
**Martin especially take note. Your followup on this is needed immediately: since you put up these (impressive) listings just the night before, it can't wait to morning.

The original source material for the OCAndroid posiings was the LA PhoneGap Event lising. LA PhoneGap was informed of the cross-posting.

      *This listing's short URL:
*Martin, thanks for ur replies. I'll respond today or tomorrow. Also very important is to see how I'm quoting text (and wherever practical, avoiding quoting & repeating) and follow & do the same: it's very good for readers and maintainers, similar to what Wikipedia and all other academics use, and also protects against copyright-infringement and plagiarism charges. What's ur thoughts on that?

RSVPing NO as I'd rather go in Afternoon giving me time to prepare (as set up the needed IDE) plus a little more sleep (having staying up late to finalize this listing :-)
