Hi Jack,

I have a small project that I'd like to get ported over from
Palm OS / Windows Mobile to Android (1.6 / 2.0).

I've been playing with the SDK and was going to put request up
on RentACoder or to someone I know in Canada to help out.
However, I was thinking it would be better if I could
'hire/pay' someone locally (I'm in Anaheim) to do the program.

I'm looking at creating a program that allows people to accept
credit cards from their Android phone. The person using the
software would also use a bluetooth card reader and receipt
printer (that I have). They would swipe the person's credit
card, enter an amount, get an approval from the bank (https or
web service that I have also made), and then print a receipt. I
was thinking of using Stefano's Bluetooth code or maybe only
supporting the Android 2 API.

A guide of what it looks like on the HTC Touch (I did it in VB.
NET) is at this URL (warning 7MB PDF)
http://tinyurl.com/pocket-verifier-windows

Do you think anybody in the group would be interested in doing
this project?

I appreciate your feedback & ideas.
Thanks a lot!

Cheers,

Blaine
