This group is for people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and people with an interest in OCD. The purpose of this group is to learn more about the disorder, treatments, and connect with others who have similar interests. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about new research into OCD treatments and discuss what has or hasn't worked for their own situation.
OCD affects men, women, children, and people of all races and backgrounds. Typical symptoms include washing, checking, hoarding ("pack rats"), scrupulosity, religious concerns (including Christian worries), sexual concerns (including homosexual fears), list making, and repetitive behaviors. OCD is called the doubting disease as sufferers are continually plagued by the "what if's."
