In this months meetup, we will be learning about:
API's - They're everywhere In fact, you're probably consuming one right now!
In this short workshop, Philipe Navarro will teach you what Application Program Interfaces (API's) are and how creating and using them, also known as "consuming", make up a large part of a programmer's life.
We will finish the workshop by consuming MeetUp's API followed by applicable next step to keep teaching yourself more.
Philipe Narravo is an engineer, programmer and social entrepreneur. His passion is empowering others to own and change their lives through exposure to new ideas and effective education. Currently Philipe teaches web development topics, most recently developing curriculum and teaching at General Assembly’s LA Web Development Immersive.
We will also have a brief presentation, Q&A about First Responder systems and current practices.
Preparing for the Hackathon. We will be reviewing the plan for this event. Anyone with event planning experience please try to make this meetup as we could really use your input. I Look forward to seeing everyone again. Anil
All you need is a positive mind, the desire to challenge the status quo and willpower. If you have an internet device or any other technology you wish to share with the group, feel free to bring it, although we can use the equipment at the store.
Apologies in advance as we will have to cap this group at 30 due to the space we have available. To be fair RSVP will be on first come first serve basis. Please keep your RSVP current so others that maybe on the waiting list can still make it. Thanks
