Our January Showcase will feature an important keynote presentation by Ross Meador who will be talking about the five crucial legal considerations new startups must worry about as they go from an app idea to a real business. Do you want to be an LLC or an S-Corp? How do you protect your Intellectual Property? What contracts do you need to onboard partners, vendors or employees? What do you need to do legally if you want add investors? This is going to be a great introduction/review for everyone interested in becoming a founder of their very own startup.
Ross is a partner with TechLaw (http://techlawllp.com), a boutique, entrepreneur-focused law firm serving the startup community. He is a Berkeley Law grad and former "Big Law" partner who practiced for many years in Silicon Valley representing clients like Facebook and Microsoft.
