OKC REIA Monthly Meeting - Thursday, January 12, 2012

Cory and I are fired up, because this month, January - which is the perfect month for this - we get to talk about one of our favorite topics Goals!
Yeah, we know...we all have goals...and chances are they are locked away in a the most secure place we can keep them - our steel trap skulls! The trouble with those steel traps is they do a great job of keeping things in! Over the course of the past 10 years as full time entrepreneurs and investors, Cory and I have had the opportunity to spend a substantial amount of time around some very successful people. The one thing we found that they all had in common is that they all had goals (just like all of us)...but they also had them written down, in a place where they could see them and review them...on a regular basis!

If you are anything like us, writing them down was like a 60 foot mountain we had to climb straight up! "Shoot, we thought...We don't need to write them down, we have them all stored up in our heads where they are safe!" HA! Being challenged to actually write them out and build a plan was totally over whelming! ...Why? Because we had not truly ever done it before. But the coolest thing happened, our mentors showed us how to properly set a goal so that it was attainable! They showed us a few simple tips, tools and tricks that changed everything for us! Those simple tools helped us get our first deal...and they continue to help us to this day! At this up coming OKC REIA Meeting, we are going to share with all of you just exactly what it was that our mentors showed us that truly changed our lives and took us and our business to the next level!
