Details

NPR Visuals (http://blog.apps.npr.org/) is one of the most progressive organizations in the country making news application tools and doing work in data and visual journalism. The group encompasses photo, video and programming, and their projects include A Look at Homeless Vets, the award-winning Planet Money Makes a T-Shirt and those cool Tiny Desk Concerts. Tyler Fisher joined the team this year after graduating from Northwestern University where he developed SoundCite, a tool that helps content creators add audio to their stories.

Tyler is in town visiting Texas State University as part of the ONA Knight News Challenge Fund (http://journalists.org/next-gen/challenge-fund/) grant, but wanted to spend some time with Austin professionals, too.

Join us on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Statesman to learn more about the work of Tyler and his team.
