This panel will look at the increase of user-generated content (UGC) in the digital media space. What is UGC and how can media outlets utilize it? How can newsrooms train staff to verify UGC and find diverse voices to cover?

The Online News Association’s (http://journalists.org/) Los Angeles group will host the discussion at the Hub LA (http://www.thehubla.com/contact/) (830 Traction Ave., Third Floor, Los Angeles) on Saturday, May 3 with different experts in UGC and crowdsourcing.
