I really appreciated the the down-to-earth presos on the pervasive nuts and bolts of the tech, craft and artistry "everyman" journalism, covering hyper-local to global as well Chris' take on how small mobile has infiltrated traditional media in ways to become "multi-media" demonstrated how all this blends to create the little mutt that could. Sound studio, meet camera phone!

Relive the ONA PDX MoJo magic. Here's the event storified: http://storify.com/ttr_the_engager/ona-pdx-meetup-find-your-mojo-best-tools-and-pract. I'll try to get the video up this weekend!

The gathering itself was great but the panel -- you should always at the very least have a mix of men and women. Even gay men and straight women want to look at and listen to a female at least part of the time.

That'll be great; many, many thanks! (And taking the egregious liberty to speak for all who live/work down the valley, a midweek event's always kind of monster up-and-back schlep ... )

Thanks to all of you who were able to make it. Great eventWe're working on getting the panel up online. It will probably take a few days, so hang tight. When I have a minute, I'm also planning to Storify the event as well so I'll share that as well.

Is the meetup available as an online stream (for the out-of-towners who wanted to make it but couldn't)?

This was an excellent meeting. Perhaps, assuming future sessions forthcoming, some time could be dedicated to explanation of various software and hardware tools available.

This was a great window to see how the global tide of change in the way information is reaching us; the role of citizen journalists, the use of emergent technologies in getting/spreading the news.. I enjoyed it and want to know more, and thanks for hosting this space for communication/sharing..

I'm in the NE but I have to pick up food and get there early, so I may not be your best bet. The bike ride is actually really nice now that the construction is done in the OHSU tram area. Let me know if I can help.

Oh, and by central east side, inner SE is workable too.

    Hi ONAPDXers,

OPB is a little out of the way for me, and I do not have a car. Bus ride would take 2 buses and an hour to get there. Biking I assume would be the same. Is anyone coming from the central east side and willing to meet for car pooling? Or is anyone leaving from downtown and I could meet you there and catch a ride? I could chip in for gas.

    Looking forward to the meetup.
