Web Strategy Lessons from Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Co. (GPTMC)

We'll kick off our fall ONA programming with a strong presentation and discussion on the future of informing communities.

The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation could be considered one of Philadelphia's content strategists, employing writers, photographers, web strategists, technologists and more.

GPTMC is the organization behind Visitphilly.com, the Official Visitor & Travel Site for Greater Philadelphia, and Uwishunu.com, the What's Happening in Philadelphia Blog. Through photo, video, design, social media and written content, GPTMC is increasingly playing a role as information resource beyond its traditional tourism roots.

In addition to VisitPhilly.com,  which is growing a network of neighborhood and regional news tools, GPTMC is a data and strategy-rich information resource. There is plenty for traditional news outlets and media makers to learn.

We'll hear from GPTMC staff using data and experience on what has worked for growing their strong audience of locals and visitors about effective strategy.

Expect actionable takeaways on social, web and brand strategy for your own online work.

Light fare will be provided by GPTMC.

Hope I can crib off someone's notes afterwards - perhaps you, Chris, or Karl? I forgot that there's a monthly neighborhood zoning committee meeting that I must attend tonight.

Very useful process and strategy information. Great networking atmosphere. Presenters were available to network with as well. GPTMC was very hospitable.

The event was so awesome! I learned so much from this team of content curators and creators. Can't wait to bring it all back to my team at work.

I am so sorry, but I have a family emergency and am not able to attend. Would love to see any notes that are going around afterwards! Looking forward to meeting everyone at the next event!

Is there anyone from the Northeast that wouldn't mind giving me a ride? I don't have a car at the moment...
