This is a "Club Conscious" monthly event. All are welcome here. No alcohol creates a conscious space to be heard and seen, to connect with self and with others with deep authenticity and transparency. Slowing down and being present in the music. If you want a space to be in community, come alone or bring friends, you have found a soulful space to be with others. Performers or people who want to simply attend a conscious gathering, show up and gather the tribe! This group is already in action gathering together in community, remembering, returning to the music and our connections in our togetherness. We are part of a cultural shift a return to music as a regular part of community. Back when we lived in tribes, music was everywhere, made by everyone in the tribe. It belonged to everybody. It was magic, transformative, powerful, and absolutely essential to our health and survival. We made our own culture. We had songs for every passage--birth, coming of age, marriage, death--songs for the hunt, the work, the worship, the stories. COMEDY - Coax laughs out of the audience. Kick off the evening with an ice breaker, your comedic art form, use your props, your magic, stand up for our right to laugh! MUSIC & SINGING - Bring us into soulfulness with your gifts of music, singing, song writing, it's all welcome here. Bring your CD’s to share. POETRY & SPOKEN WORD - Troubadours and balladeers ignite our imaginations into stories of adventure, romance, tragedy and comedy. POTLUCK – Please bring healthy food to share with others. We typically end up with an overwhelming amount of deserts, we are encouraging other food. If you are not in a position financially or have time restraints, please know that bringing food is not required. Sometimes we are not in a position to give and we are in a position to receive. We appreciate those who are in a position to bring food and share this offering. OPEN MIC NIGHT IS SPONSORED BY Guitar Showcase & Yoga Center of Los Gatos Providing a professional sound system. MORE INFO – Club Conscious is a safe space to share something you love with community. Bring blankets, pillows to hang out and chill out while being entertained or resting between your performance. Dress comfortable, wear PJ's if you feel inspired, come as you are. Open Mic Night is a place to start performing, try out new material, have a first time experience as a performer, practice your performing skills, and become a part of community.
