Luckily in the US they are far more concerned than we in the issue of government spying. Both their media and politicians are worried about the way the NSA have justified their total intrusion into people lives but waving the threat o terrorism. Some software companies are actively working on ways to encrypt email and prevent, to some degree, further intrusion. I will bring along a couple of examples of this to the meeting...Here in the UK we need to publicise these privacy issues far more widely and get the public to appreciate the rusks they are taking by ignoring the issues. There are some MP's already speaking out, notably our own here in Brighton, Dr Caroline Lucas, but there needs to be far more.
