Quiz your MEP candidates on Digital Rights

Join ORG Brighton to hear from the MEP candidates for the South East and quiz them on their views on digital rights.

In the run-up to the European elections (22nd May), Open Rights Group are holding MEP hustings across the country (https://www.openrightsgroup.org/blog/2014/quiz-your-mep-candidates-on-digital-rights), to ask candidates to pledge to protect digital rights.

We are asking candidates to support the WePromise 10 point charter (https://www.wepromise.eu/en).

MEPs help write laws on

• digital privacy

• e-commerce

• free speech online

• copyright

• net neutrality

Most big digital issues are affected by European rules, so come and make sure your candidates hear what you've got to say about digital rights.

How will candidates protect us from mass surveillance? Will they oppose trade treaties that undermine democracy like ACTA and TTIP? Will they support your right to Internet access? Will they oppose censorship?

This is your chance to ask what candidates will do, in an Any Questions style debate.
