Cardiff ORG meeting on 23 January

Details
In December the Cardiff Open Rights Group hosted an evening event with ORG Executive Director Jim Killock and solicitor Daniel Carey about ORG's current campaigns and activities, particularly ORG's legal challenge at the European Court of Human Rights on digital surveillance. Here's a brief report:
Following this successful event, ORG Cardiff will have its next meeting on Thursday 23rd January. We will give an update on ORG campaigns and on recent events in the field of digital rights, and we want to discuss what ORG Cardiff should do in the near future. There are many possibilities: organise another speaker event on a current issue such as surveillance, filtering or copyright; host a Cryptoparty to share skills on anonymous communication; lobby the Welsh national level and get in touch with Welsh politicians; etc etc.
The meeting will take place at the Quaker Meeting House (43 Charles St, CF10 2GB). It would be great to see many of you there. Please remember that ORG is a diverse crowd of technologists, academics, campaigners, normal internet users, interested public, and all skills and interests are welcome and needed.
