BIG FLYING BUGS!

It's that time of year again... the end of summer, when it's still hot but Fall is in the air. The perfect time to go searching for BIG FLYING BUGS! Every year we are tickled to have such an awesome docent as Mr. Jan with his passion for all things flying and his knowledge of the ever zooming dragonfly. I had the pleasure of going on this hike last year and I was so very glad I did. It's steep, but short, with lots of stopping to talk. You will learn all the hidden secrets of the dragonfly lifestyle while learning how to spot them. Not only that, but we will also be hiking to a small pond where tons of them hang out.

Bring your camera, and your walking sticks, and your sense of adventure for this fun and engaging exploration of Open Space. Oh and by the way, the property is not yet open to the public so we will have it ALL TO OURSELVES!

(Maybe not the program for little bitties but if you have someone 8 and up or used to hiking, they are more than welcome to join us).

The program starts at 10 to give the sun a chance to wake everybody up.
