Go Stargazing with Cool Astronomers!

The secret is out and these star gazing nights are more popular than ever. If you've had a long week and would love to unwind, this is the experience for you. Bring your dinner, and something to drink, some warm clothes and a flashlight and come on out to enjoy the dark sky with all it's stars.

These days it is harder and harder to find a spot near town where you can see lots and lots of stars. Rancho still has that magic. You can still see the milky way from our parking area. And even better, we have some of the nicest, most knowledgeable and friendly astronomers you'll ever meet. You don't even need a telescope because they bring theirs for us to look through.

You will see amazing and beautiful things. They can teach you so much, or just help you enjoy the sights, depending on your mood. Kids are more than welcome! Sorry, no pets since this is an open space preserve.

We'll be out there until about 10-10:30 or until the fog roles in. (Usually later than that).

If you have a telescope you want to learn how to use, go ahead and bring it and come a bit early (7:30) and our team can help you get set up and learn how to use your own telescopes!
