Nanotech West Overview and Tour
Details
The next stop in our ECE Alumni Meetup series takes us to Nanotech West, Ohio’s leading micro- and nanotechnology facility. Back when I was in school, it was silicon wafer processing, but now it is so much more. The facility provides the necessary labs and equipment for Ohio State University research and industry applications in the fields of electronics, optics, advanced materials and characterization, energy, biology and medicine. Operated by the Institute for Materials Research (IMR), Nanotech West supports numerous research projects for the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
For this event, we will get an overview on the role of the lab and the various research being performed. We’ll follow that with a tour of the facility that includes the latest equipment for Electron Beam Lithography, Optical Lithography, Epitaxial Growth and Deposition and others. For more background check out http://www.nanotech.osu.edu.
Space is limited for this event, so please make sure you RSVP if you think you will be able to make it.
