Off The Grid
OTG strives to bring together old friends, welcome new ones and explore the path less taken. This a social group for people who are interested in environmentally friendly, non-motorized activities like cycling, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, skiing, skating and more. The occasional indoor activity may also take place: bowling, trivia nights.
Event groups are small with typically six to ten people participating. Rides are intentionally small as it makes for a more social ride, a faster ride, a safer ride and it eliminates the need for a sweep. Cyclists in smaller groups are also less likely to get separated from the group or lost.
Members may be removed after several months of inactivity.
All members of OTG are encouraged to host events. If you are interested in becoming a event host, please contact me.
Members are not solicited to help pay for the running of OTG. Donations will not be accepted.
The Rules and Expectations
All cyclists are expected to wear a helmet on rides and to use common sense on the road to ensure personal and group safety. There are no other "rules" to follow except to have a good time.
Please note that this group subscribes to the "2 Strikes" No-show rule.
