Thought we'd do something a bit different for an end of year event. Wanted to combine both an informal location, with some food, giveaways (tis the season), and OWASP core materials. You'll definitely not want to miss this event.
First, in the spirit of Christmas, we are going to give away a voucher for paid travel (hotel & lodging & airfare) for an OWASP ATL Member for 2013 AppSec events. You heard right. We have chapter funds and we would like to put the OWASP sting into a lucky member for 2013 so that they can get hooked on an OWASP conference/ event. Only caveat is that you have to be a paid member. Don't know where to show membership or want to join, go to owasp.org and click on membership.
Second, developing secure apps is still a challenge. Where do you start? How do your tools come together? I'll be presenting on how/ what OWASP projects can take you from 0 to a relative 60 with free OWASP project vetted by 100s of leaders and volunteers worldwide. If you wanted to finally get started on putting a secure SDLC plan in action, you'll come away from this meeting with some ammo for the new year.
Last, given its the end of the year, we're meeting at the Kilt for a more festive ambiance and meeting in the alley of the restaurant on a Wed when patronage will be a lot lower for the restaurant (and most will be taking refuge in their post Mayan-calendar, apocalyptic bunkers, so we'll have the place to ourselves). In short, we'll have access to some hearty provisions and adult beverages which sounds like a jolly way to celebrate the holidays in my book.
Hope to see you all there!
P.S - if you are a sponsor or thought about sponsoring, please reach out.
