What we’re about
We’re looking for Choreographers, Dancers, Organizers, and Movement Artists of all kinds who are interested in bringing their art form to the Occupy Movement. A group is forming and will be meeting regularly to incubate ideas for creating dance that aligns with the Occupy movement in either content or form. There’s currently a focus on planning classes, actions, and choreography to be present for the September 15-September 17th Anniversary Weekend of Occupy Wall Street. But most importantly, we’re interested in bridging the gap between socio-political movements and MOVEMENT!
Who should join this group? Choreographers, Dancers of all kinds, Dance Enthusiasts! And anyone at all who wants to contribute to the Occupy movement by making it more artful, and more accessible to creative types.
