Real Talk About TechEquity
Details
At this month's TechEquity Collaborative meetup, we'll hear from tech leaders in Oakland about the challenges of creating an equitable tech ecosystem in the East Bay. Our panelists will discuss questions like:
• How do we get past rhetoric and address real challenges to adoption and change?
• What barriers exist inside companies that prevent them from developing more inclusive, community-integrated processes and policies?
• What external dynamics prevent companies from making progress, and how might we address them?
• What do we do when, despite best efforts, we don't see shifts happening as fast as we want?
• What's needed to create better relationships between tech companies and the community at large?
• How do we get to meaningful measures of equitability of the tech ecosystem in Oakland?
