Office 365 enables hands-off IT - that being hands-off provision of IT services plus hands-off device configuration and management. With Microsoft taking on the responsibility for providing productivity and collaboration services from the cloud, the need for IT professionals to build and maintain on-premises infrastructure is greatly reduced. And when combined with some Microsoft Azure capabilities, there is also the opportunity to reduce the amount of time and effort required to provision and manage end-user devices.
