Let's make Pastizzio, Tzatziki, Rocket salad and Apple-cinnamon cake

Details
Pastizzio, is one of the best comfort foods of the Greek cuisine. Its name is Italian, and it means "mix-up" or "mess-up", since for it we mix pasta, meat, then some cream, to make something delicious. It "jumped over" to Greece from our Italian neighbors, during the Venetian occupation of the Ionian islands. And there, as it often happens with recipes, it was developed according to the area it appeared. The best-known recipe is the one created by a famous Greek chef, Nikolaos Tselementes, who published his first cookbook back in 1910; and this is the recipe using pasta, minced meat and bechamel cream and breadcrumbs, then baked in the oven.

And because you need something to nibble on while the pastizzio is baking, we'll make some Tzatziki, the way Greek mums make it (and you'll find out why yours might come out runny when you are making it).

Plus, we'll need a salad with our food, so how about a cooking rocket-pear-kefalotyri cheese-roasted almond one?

No meal is complete without dessert, so we'll also make a delicious Apple-cinnamon cake, without using any dairy or eggs --and nobody will be able to tell!

One glass of our selected Greek wines is offered upon arrival, while you can nibble on olives, dips and Cretan crostini, while preparing the meal.
