Let's Go For A Ride Or Just Do Something Fun With Friends!

**Update to my description of this meetup...
I want to share with any who are interested in this group, what it has meant to me, and, done for me over the past couple of years.

I have made some of the best friends in this group! People that have become very near and dear to my heart! The past year has driven home the very important lesson of friends, and people to share with in this life, and what it truly means!

Life is meant to be grabbed onto, lived, and enjoyed! It can be fleeting, and we never know what may be thrown at us at any given time. At the age of 48, I never expected the curve ball that would be thrown my way, and I intend to get as much out of my life as I possibly can.

We are a group of fun people who believe in taking others at face value and having a good time together. If you are worried about not knowing anyone...don't be! If you need to make some friends, get some exercise, or want a little support for whatever you are facing in life...join us! This is just plain a group that likes to get together and have fun. If you are shy, or having a hard time making friends, the key is to "Just Put Yourself Out There." It's hard at first, but we will always welcome you! For biking and other activities, we are NOT about skill level, what kind of "gear" you have, or, how fast or far you can go. We are TOTALLY about encouragement and fun!

I would like to open this group up for any who want to plan activities, or join in as an assistant organizer. This could be one, or, 20 people, I don't care. This way we can have a variety of things going one....

Longer, faster, more challenging rides... and shorter slower ones for those who just want to get out now and then. I'm still going to plan overnighters for the summer, and post organized rides as well.

But how about dinner and movie night? Or a pizza and poker party? A play, or, game night? Someone suggested Roller Derby and dinner! What fun! The list goes on...with so many possibilities of things to do.

The main thing for me here is the friends I have made through this site and all the fun I have had sharing new experiences with everyone.

So... if you want to:
1) Get out and make some friends
2) Get some much needed exercise
3) Hang with people who laugh a lot
4) Challenge yourself to something new
5) De-stress your life in a positive way

Then this is the group for you!

I also want to emphasize the fact that this is a group that is open to everyone. Please don't feel that you cannot keep up, are not in good enough shape, or, will hold anyone back on a ride or activity. If getting in shape happens to be a goal for you, then you will find you are embraced by people who will support and cheer you on every step of the way. Believe me when I say, there are a few of us, (ME), who need this for more than just friendship!
