Often I get asked about the protocol of bringing food when we meet at a member's home. Here is the number one rule... there is no rule! Apparently, from the beginning people just brought food to share. The tradition continues with most people bringing some food, but it is not required to either bring food or actually speak Spanish. Really, just being there and listening is often very helpful and eventually some encouraging person will likely get you to speak up to your ability. The point is to have fun, and learn some Spanish.
