UX Leadership, Culture & Moving Forward

We all want to work at the "perfect" company that makes "perfect" products and experiences. The problem is that truly doesn't exist anywhere. We all struggle with problems in our organizations whether they're an agency or a Fortune 500 company.

In this meeting I'd like us to share our personal perspectives and experiences of the companies we work for, what challenges we have, and how we can better solve them. I'll also have some handouts and resources available. Here are some links to check out in the meantime:

Designing Culture: New Ways to Think About Work

Hope to see you all there! Cheers!

Nate did a good job facilitating such a difficult topic, reflecting on our culture both good & bad - thanks!

(Oooo, handouts!) To me, you're right, there is no perfect situation. Humans are flawed by nature thus organizations of humans are exponentially flawed. The situation resembles analytics in a way: you have a site (company) and you make tweaks where you can to help try and improve the interactions on the site (employees, workflow and such). If something works, fantastic, let's try and replicate that experience as much as possible. If something isn't working, do your best to change it to correct the problem.

Anyway, can't wait to get together. See ya there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
