Hello everyone...Are you a friend or relative of a high functioning disabled individual who doesn't quite fit in with regular folks nor disabled people? There are a lot of organizations out there for disabled people but none that I know of for someone who is right in the middle. I am the mother of a 21 year old special young man who was diagnosed with Mild Mental Retardation. However, he is very high functioning and has a great personality. He likes to have fun, work, and do things the average person likes to do but is a bit shy and has a hard time making friends to hang out with on a regular basis. He's tired of sitting at home because he doesn't quite fit into the normal mainstream or the other extreme...groups/organizations for disabled individuals who are typically for people with severe disabilities. If you're looking for a group of people who are at your level and just wanna socialize and have fun, this is the group for you!
