Have you noticed over the past year that the search results have changed dramatically? There are more advertisements than ever before. Some listings have reviews, and some don't. Some listings have addresses, and some don't. Some listings have photos, and some don't. Do you want to know why?
This session will be a non-technical guide to local internet marketing, explaining the differences in the search results and explaining exactly what you can do to ensure that your business is appearing correctly.
Private conference room Projector & Screen in use Pizza included No host bar Wireless Internet access is included if desired Laptop not required Notebook & pen recommended Scheduled to end at 7:30 but will stay later if necessary

There are quite a few administrative tasks involved in getting a business found in the local listings, and if you're not doing them correctly (or at all) then you might be entirely out of luck.
The good news is that they're not hard, and in many cases the essentials can be done without ever even touching your website!
The only things that seem consistent in the way Google shows local results for any given industry is the fact that most people don't even know why they're different, and the fact that your competitor usually seems to rank better than you do, right?
Web developers, designers, and Internet marketers are welcome, but I'll really be speaking to the business owners themselves and their employees, who will not need any technical expertise.
We will talk about what factors are considered when determining which businesses to rank in the local search results for Google, Yahoo, Bing and others.
Food & Beverage
Pizza will be provided, but attendees will be on their own for ordering additional food or any beverages.
You will leave this session with a good understanding of how local search affects your business, and precise steps for claiming our local business listings. By the end of the session, you should be comfortable enough to either begin the process yourself, or assign it to an employee.
Payment must be made at the time of your RSVP, unless you are a member of:
