Open Data Book Club - Construction and Demolition Permit Data

Open Data Book Club is a monthly event aimed at exploring open datasets that relate to the National Capital Region. If you are into open data, data journalism, statistics, data visualizations, or civic technology, this is the meetup for you.

Come hang out with fellow data-ists, hack on some data, and enjoy a set of short presentations related to the Construction, Demolition and Pool Enclosure Permit Data (http://data.ottawa.ca/en/dataset/construction-demolition-pool-enclosure-permits-monthly), the dataset the group decided to work on for January. This dataset contains some surprisingly interesting information related to the locations and values of the construction/demolition/pool enclosure permits that are issued by the city.
