Open Data Book Club

Details

Open Data Book Club is a monthly series of events aimed at exploring open datasets that relate to the National Capital Region. If you are into open data, data journalism, statistics, visualizations, and civic technology, this is the meetup for you.

Come hang out with fellow dataists, hack on some data, and enjoy a set of short presentations on this month's selected dataset: ward data from the National Household Survey (http://data.ottawa.ca/dataset/2006-and-2011-ward-data-from-the-census-and-2011-national-household-survey-nhs).

Interested in presenting something? We'd love to see what you can come up with. All those interested are given a short time-slot to present. Your presentation need not focus on the current month's dataset. Past projects you've done are also welcome, we just ask you keep it open data related. Please let us know if you plan to present so we can make sure to set aside a bit of time for you.

All are welcome and no prior skills or experience is required - come and learn about open data and what can be done with it!

There will also be a door prize at this month's event for a snazzy Open Data Ottawa t-shirt!
