June 6 is the National Day of Civic Hacking. Please save the date for this daylong event. In the morning, you'll learn how to use some of the great new Web mapping technologies, and in the afternoon, you'll be able to show what you've learned by working with real data and real challenges.

It will be helpful but not essential to bring a laptop. For our repository of maps and data, we will use https://github.com/openpgh/NationalDayofCivicHacking.git If you need help registering for a Github account, we'll be there to help you with the registration process.
We will also provide you with snacks and lunch.
Parking is available on the street along Hamilton and adjacent streets, and is very close to the East Busway's Homewood station.
