OpenLate @ OpenDNS - "LetsEncrypt" with Yvan Boily

OpenLate provides an evening hack lounge with themed tech talks at the OpenDNS YVR office.

Description: Learn about what LetsEncrypt is, how it works, and why they are working to protect the entire internet from the prying eyes of governments and network service providers. Learn how you can use LetsEncrypt to quickly and easily secure your web services as painlessly as possible!

This talk will be approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on questions, coupled with an interactive tutorial on how to enable Lets Encrypt for apache, nginx, and with Wordpress. Users who bring their laptops can follow along.

Bio: Yvan Boily is a security engineer at OpenDNS based in Vancouver, previously working government, global finance, and open source projects.
