OpenLate @ OpenDNS - Move Fast and Not Break Things

Details

Tonight, Adil Aijaz, CEO and co-founder of Split Software, will be giving a tech talk. See below for the abstract.

Abstract

Mark Zuckerburg described Facebook's early culture as 'move fast and break things'. As a distributed systems engineer, I find that moving fast and breaking things are often opposites of each other. In this talk, I am going to present a few lessons I've learned in modern web architecture that enable organizations to move fast, without breaking things.

Bio

Adil Aijaz is CEO and co-founder of Split Software. He is an experienced engineer who has solved problems at LinkedIn, Yahoo!, and most recently RelateIQ (acquired by Salesforce), where he build the data infrastructure layer from the ground up with Split co-founder Patricio Echague. Adil is passionate about scalability, reliability, and technology-driven intelligence—which is why he decided to quit his job and help change how the tech world creates new products by founding Split just one month after learning he was going to be a first-time father.
