Deep Dive into Trove and Preview OpenStack Kilo

January starts with a double header big bang! Tesora will join us as co-sponsor and lead a session on What is Trove, the database as a service project on OpenStack. And we have a second topic in January - running CloudFoundry on Openstack.
We'll start with networking, food and drinks ~ 6:15pm to 6:45pm powered by Tesora!
Then we will do a deep dive into Trove, providing updates on new developments and how Trove supports the Juno release. In addition, we'll provide a preview of what's planned for OpenStack Kilo and the future direction of Trove.
Speaker Bio: Ken Rugg, Founder, CEO & Board Member at Tesora, Inc.. Ken has over 20 years in the database management industry. Before founding Tesora, Ken was the senior vice president and business unit general manager at Progress Software for the company's enterprise software products. Ken joined Progress when his previous company, eXcelon, a leader in Object and XML data management, was acquired. At eXcelon, Ken was a chief technology officer and vice president of product development.
Topic 2: CloudFoundry on OpenStack: It’s what on the Stack that matters!
The goal for both OpenStack and CloudFoundry foundations is to build open source software and communities. CloudFoundry is intended for a variety of IaaS including vSphere, OpenStack and Amazon Web Services.
Attend this session for a quick technical overview of CloudFoundry and to be able to deploy a variety of apps. on the platform that handle requirements such as HA, Scaling, Logging, Monitoring, Debugging, etc. After attending this session you should be able to walk away with a good understanding of CloudFoundry and how it complements an IaaS like OpenStack.
Speaker Bio: Raghavan "Rags" Srinivas (@ragss) works as an Architect/Developer Evangelist for EMC CODE( http://emcode.github.io ) helping developers build highly scalable and available systems. As an OpenStack advocate and solutions architect at Rackspace he was constantly challenged from low level infrastructure to high level application issues. His general focus area is in distributed systems, with a specialization in Cloud Computing and Big Data.
Rags brings with him over 25 years of hands-on software development and over 15 years of architecture and technology evangelism experience. He has evangelized and influenced the architecture of a number of emerging technology areas. He is also a repeat JavaOne rock star speaker award winner.
