OpenStack Meetup and BBQ extravaganza!

Details
Hello everyone - our Dec. Meetup has it all - cool topics/speakers, great location and Texas BBQ! IBM joins us a co-sponsor and we've got two interesting topics.
First up: How Heat-Translator and TOSCA are moving to enable support for Clusters, Policies and NFV in OpenStack
Matt Rutkowski and Julio Ruano will discuss the latest and upcoming features within the Heat-Translator project which allows Cloud apps to be modeled in the OASIS TOSCA open standard format and translated to the Heat project's HOT format for deployment.
These new features include the recent packaging of the project into the Pypi "heat-translator" and "tosca-parser" libraries which enables TOSCA to be used by other projects such as Senlin (Cluster, Policy project) and Tacker (NFV Manager project) which will take advantage of TOSCA's ability to model operational Policies which can be monitored through services like Monasca or Ceilometer, as well as model abstract subsystems which can be loaded at run-time via service catalogs like Murano
Did I mention we are planning BBQ holiday FEAST!Bring your appetites.
Our second talk will focus on Swift encryption. One of the requirements for data center security is protection of “at rest” data. Usually this protection is about encrypting client-generated contents, including objects stored in the Swift cluster.
This session will provide a quick overview of openstack swift object storage including advantages, architecture, use cases, API, and existing features. Some features that are implemented through middleware will be highlighted. The encryption at rest feature that is now in development will be introduced and discussed at a high level. Those who have moderate to no experience with swift will find value in the discussion.
Our Speaker:
Janie Richling has been a part of the Cloud Infrastructure Services team at IBM for over a year, and is currently leading a small team working on object storage. She has been active in the Swift community for a little less than a year. In particular, she is leading the effort to add encryption at rest in OpenStack Swift. Previous to her swift work for IBM, she was a developer of largely distributed, highly available, highly performant systems which were built upon an OpenStack infrastructure.
Oh Ya - we will have loads of Texas BBQ and special holiday treats to enjoy!
