Notes From the Field

Notes From the Field, Real World OpenStack Experience

Matt Haines will talk about his experiences birthing the public cloud at HP.

Matt led the engineering team at HP that brought the first large scale OpenStack cloud to the public. He'll talk about the trials, tribulations, and victories of deploying and operating a public OpenStack cloud with plenty of time for Q&A. Matt is currently the Vice President of Cloud Ops at Time Warner Cable and is now focused on leveraging OpenStack in building a large-scale private cloud to support video/broadband/phone services for the #2 cable operator in the US.

Come one, come all.

The Harmony branch of the Fort Collins (Poudre River) library is co-located with Front Range Community college. Entrance on Shields or Harmony and on the southeast corner of that intersection. (The Shields entrance is closest to the library.) The Community room is just to the south as you enter the library.

It's been forever since I spent much time in Fort Collins. Any recommendations for quick food near the venue?

If you don't want the pizza at the meetup, I just had lunch here:
    Has pasta, tapas, etc
Just down Shields from Harmony Lib.
