Thanks to the OpenStack Foundation for sponsoring our meetup we're going to have a big celebration that I'm sure you all remembered..right? Yes, of course, OpenStack's Third Birthday! There will be some delicious food, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and of course some CAKE (no it's not a lie!). Lastly, thanks again to the foundation, we'll have some OpenStack 3rd birthday shirts to give away. First come first serve.
Clint Byrum, Senior Server/Cloud Software Engineer at HP Cloud Services will be teaching us how to have OpenStack deploy OpenStack or better known as Triple-O! Yes you read that right and be prepared to be amazed. You can read more about the abstract in the agenda.
You may have noticed the meetup is taking place a little bit earlier than usual. No we're not changing dates from our usual last Thursday of the month, we're just celebrating on the actual day of OpenStack's inception. So please come and join us for some cake, knowledge and celebrate another year of this great project and community!
IMPORTANT: Free underground parking will be available at Paragon Parking (557 S. Hope St.); bring the parking ticket with you and we’ll stamp it for validation. Please take the entrance ramp off of Hope St. and park below ground level (not the street-level lot).
The after-hours entrance into the AON building is on Wilshire Blvd. and Hope St. If the doors are locked, please use the intercom on the right-hand side, and mention the Meetup in DreamHost’s office. DreamHost is located about two blocks from the 7th Street/ Metro Center (service via Blue, Red, Purple, Expo and Silver lines).

• Title: Triple-O
• Abstract: TheOpenStack on OpenStack, or "Triple-O" program is meant to have OpenStackdeploy and manage itself. Nova is used to deploy machines. Glance hostsgolden images. Neutron manages networking, Keystone ties authenticationtogether, and Heat orchestrates the complicated graph of dependencies andresources that are required to make this happen. We'll talk about what wehave accomplished thus far with Triple-O and where the program is going.
8:15 – Session is complete, eat some CAKE! And more mingling.
